Great little sayings

This little book (it’s just 85 pages, with one or two sayings per page) is one of the best and most humorous endeavors put out by the creators of MAD Magazine. It’s a collection of pithy sayings attributed to Alfred E. Neuman. These sayings are not just funny but poignant and sometimes pointed.
Here’s just a small sampling of what you’ll find in the book: “Live every day as if it were your last, because one of these days you’ll be right!” (p. 4) “Life is what happens to you while you’re busing making future plans” (p. 8–this one really hit home to me). “America is the land that fought for freedom and then began passing laws to get rid of it” (p. 18). “The reason most people are lost in thought is because it’s unfamiliar territory” (p. 25). “Even the man who has everything is envious of the man who has two of everything” (p. 34).
I could go on, but that would spoil it for you. Let’s just say that this book is well worth the cost and a barrel of laughs as well.
