Mike Rivera’s, “From Stand-Up Comedian to Stand-Up Teacher” is a truly eloquent book into the new indoctrinate of modern teaching. My students now are filled with joy and I see the wonder in their eyes as I teach. In these recent days that have passed, my students and I have shared many laughs. The only sad part is, you grow bonds and friendships with your students, and one day they will have to move on to the next grade. Without this book, I would have had continued with the old mundane and frustrating way of teaching I had been subjected to before. This book is truly inspirational and awe inspiring. The magnificence this has brought to me, makes me recommend this to any teacher who is sick and tired of the day to day pain and suffering the old school philosophy of teaching has brought upon them. With my most sincere candid opinion, any and every teacher should read this book. Mike whenever you start to lose your way or don’t feel the spark you once did or whatever may happen, remember. Go back and read your book. Not only your book, read this review and remember, you are America’s most hilarious teacher.
