Catherine Berlin is an attorney licensed to practice in the State of New York, an author, humorist, editor, teacher at the State University of New York at Buffalo, former magazine editor, and award winning photographer. She has been writing legal texts and briefs for almost three decades, including the Department of Justice, the United States Federal District Court system, and private practice. She has worked with experts in engineering, science, and economics, and has been studying and developing humor theory in communication since 2001.
