Finally, Practical IL Instruction Advice

December 9, 2012

Format: Paperback|Verified Purchase

Most books about information literacy instruction focus too much on theory. This is a more practical approach from an author who knows a lot about humor. I met the author at a conference and was impressed. The instructional videos that he created for Coastal Carolina University (which you can see on their website) are some of the best I’ve seen. I haven’t read very far in the book yet, but so far I’ve gotten a lot of great information. You get your money’s worth in the first ten pages, and everything after that is free! This book is great for your library’s professional collection, and is worth buying for your personal collection. Summing up: ESSENTIAL!

I truly enjoyed reading this info lit title. Josh is a funny guy with an appreciation of comedy & the role it plays in keeping students engaged & alert for information literacy sessions. I highly recommend this book to librarians and other instructors.
